Steve Seymour

Sensei Steve Seymour

Sensei Steve Seymour began Aikido in 1976 with Sugano Sensei in Aikikai Australia.

He has been a Student of Takeda Shihan 8th dan since 1980 and is currently his representative for Aikido Kenkyu Kai (A.K.I.) Australia, an Aikikai organisation.

Sensei Seymour has received tuition and drawn influence from many instructors, most notably, Yasuyuki Suzuki 6th dan of AKI Japan (a mentor from his Shodan on), T Seino 7th dan and H Numata 7th dan of AKI Japan.

Sensei Seymour has trained in Japan, Australia, Canada and New Zealand throughout the last 30 years and has been fortunate to have practised with many of the late S Yamaguchi Shihan's senior students.

Steve Sensei was guest instructor at the 28th Annual Riai Aikido Friendship Camp in October 2009.

He currently teaches at his dojo in Balmain, Sydney.
